Gum Disease Treatments

Periodontitis and gingivitis, is inflammation that affects the tissues (gums) that surround and support your teeth. Left untreated, it can eventually cause a loss of bone around the teeth, causing them to loosen and become sore.

The first signs of this occuring is bleeding gums on brushing. This if identified early is a completely reversible procedure and treated with scaling and debridment procedures.

A regimen of good oral hygiene, including proper brushing, flossing and professional care from a dentist/hygienist every six months help keep check over long term.

At Surfers Dental we automatically put our patients on a six monthly recall to ensure their dental health stays optimal.
